SmartCabinet ID protects IT equipment from dirt, dust, and temperature fluctuations common in warehouses, factory floors, and other peripheral locations, and is also IP54 waterproof to protect if the internal fire sprinkler system is activated. Built-in emergency fans also provide backup cooling in the event of a power outage or primary cooling module failure. A touchscreen display with connectivity allows for local or remote monitoring and control of key components, and alarms and notifications can be configured to alert you to unusual environmental conditions. Additional electronic locks can be installed on the front and rear doors with the ability to monitor user access.

The new solution is available in a variety of rack sizes and cooling options, including 24U and 42U form factors, as well as 3.5 kW and 7.0 kW power ratings.

The main design principle of SmartCabinet ID is to maximize space utilization. Both the integrated cooling solution and the power management unit, which powers the cooling, display, emergency fans, and sensors, take up no rack space, saving valuable space for servers and other IT equipment.

Vertiv also offers a full suite of services for the Vertiv SmartCabinet ID, including installation and startup, preventative maintenance contracts, and extended warranties, providing smooth deployment and peace of mind for IT professionals working in harsh environments. The solution is also compatible with compact rackmount UPS systems such as the Vertiv Liebert GXT5 and Vertiv Liebert GXT5 Lithium Ion, which protect against power outages.

SmartCabinet ID can be viewed virtually through Vertiv XR, an augmented reality app downloaded to a mobile device or tablet. Vertiv XR allows the user to visualize the solution and monitor features and settings.
