The release of the device is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Lenovo ThinkPad, and, according to the manufacturer, will be the best companion for these laptops.

The ThinkPhone comes with a powerful set of premium features combined with a unique design and seamlessly integrates with the ThinkPad line of laptops, such as the new ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11. The smartphone offers users a complete set of security and support features that deliver unsurpassed levels of protection and complete manageability thanks to the ThinkShield platform. At the heart of ThinkShield are fundamental security policies, specialized hardware, software, and functionality that secure the entire device.

The protective features of the new devices are powered by AI and are based on security solutions, such as Moto Threat Defense. In addition, organizations can easily deploy ThinkPhones to their workforce with Zero Touch and manage their entire smartphone fleet with Moto OEMConfig and Moto Device Manager solutions.

The ThinkPhone comes with the Moto Secure application, which serves as a security and privacy control center. Using Moto OEMConfig or Moto Device Manager, IT administrators can remotely configure Moto Secure features: from lock screen configurations to network alerts and contact encryption. Powered by Android, the dedicated Moto KeySafe processor adds an extra layer of security to maximize the protection of the most important data in your smartphone. It isolates PIN codes, passwords, and cryptographic keys, keeping them in a tamper-proof internal environment.

The device is MIL STD 810H1 certified, made of lightweight aramid fiber considered stronger than steel, and has an aircraft-grade aluminum frame along with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Therefore, the smartphone easily withstands shocks and drops from a height of up to 1.25 m. And IP682 certification makes the model resistant to dust and water — ThinkPhone can withstand immersion in water to a depth of 1.5 m for up to 30 minutes. The device also features a customizable red side key for immediate access to the most important business applications and fast PC integration.

The company also introduced the Think 2 Think concept, which is a set of productivity features and seamless integration between ThinkPhone and ThinkPad. This approach makes it possible to implement the following features:

• Instant connection: quick detection of the devices when they are at a short distance and connecting via Wi-Fi;
• Single clipboard: fast copying of documents, photos, or videos from one device to another;
• Unified notifications: phone notifications instantly appear in the Windows Action Center. Clicking on a notification automatically launches the corresponding phone application on the PC screen.
• File Transfer: quick transfer of files between ThinkPhone and PC via drag&drop.
• Application streaming: the ability to open any Android application right on the PC.
• Advanced web camera: ThinkPhone's powerful cameras and AI capabilities allow using the smartphone as a web camera for video calls.
• Hotspot: One-click Internet connection directly from PC through ThinkPhone over a 5G network.

The ThinkPhone will be shipped with pre-installed Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Teams mobile apps. For example, it will allow users to scan a PDF file, using their camera, or to dictate a document by voice. In addition, the early mentioned red button allows users to quickly communicate with each other in the Walkie Talkie application via Microsoft Teams. Employees will be able to share the desktop and securely access personalized applications, content, and Windows settings.

The smartphone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen mobile platform, which handles even the most resource-intensive applications without interruptions. Support for 5G and compatibility with Wi-Fi 6E ensure maximum speed when browsing the Internet.

The 6.6-inch FHD+ display provides enough viewing area for comfortable work with large Excel spreadsheets or browsing long e-mail conversations. The large battery provides more than 36 hours of battery life. The device also comes with a 68W TurboPower Universal Charger that charges the smartphone in a few minutes. TurboPower can also be used to charge laptops and other USB-C devices.

The smartphone is also equipped with a 50-megapixel camera Ultra Pixel providing excellent image quality during video calls, regardless of lighting conditions. It allows you to take photos at 32x zoom - as a result, you will get images with incredible clarity and detail.
