On January 23, Astana hosted a conference on personal data protection in the Republic of Kazakhstan: from the state regulation to building infrastructure solutions for information protection and preservation . The event was organized by the Public Council of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The conference was attended by the Information Security Committee of the MDDIAI RK management, deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the heads of the largest companies responsible for information security. The event discussed key innovations in legislation on information security in general and personal data protection in particular, as well as other current issues related to ensuring information security in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The MUK Group of Companies, together with Dell Technologies and Palo Alto Networks, were partners of the conference and presented a number of reports on current solutions in the field of information security.
Thus, representatives of Palo Alto Networks spoke about modern trends in the cybersecurity industry and the company's vision for preventing the most complex attacks and threats. They touched upon the issue of platformization of security and increasing the efficiency of IT infrastructure protection by consolidating best-in-class platforms - Network Security Platform, Prisma Cloud and Cortex XSIAM from Palo Alto Networks.

This is a simple and convenient solution from Palo Alto Networks, acting as DLP (Data Loss Prevention), which helps protect the company and employees from personal and corporate data leakage. Dell Technologies representatives presented Dell products for data protection and storage and a security strategy that includes cybersecurity standards, recommendations, business processes and technology solutions. In particular, they discussed Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery, a system that isolates business-critical data and allows organizations to restore operations after complex ransomware or cyberattacks. They talked about the PowerProtect Data Domain platform, which makes it possible to create a cyber-resilient foundation based on a specialized backup device. In addition, they looked at CyberSense, an AI-based machine learning analytics for checking data integrity to ensure sustainability.
Given the increased relevance of the issue related to ensuring effective protection of personal data, holding this type of events will allow companies operating in various sectors of the economy to lay the foundation for security and reliably protect their business in the future.
