On January 23, Astana hosted a conference on personal data protection in the Republic of Kazakhstan: from the state regulation to building infrastructure solutions for information protection and preservation . The event was organized by the Public Council of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The conference was attended by the Information Security Committee of the MDDIAI RK management, deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the heads of the largest companies responsible for information security. The event discussed key innovations in legislation on information security in general and personal data protection in particular, as well as other current issues related to ensuring information security in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In particular, they discussed Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery, a system that isolates business-critical data and allows organizations to restore operations after complex ransomware or cyberattacks. They talked about the PowerProtect Data Domain platform, which makes it possible to create a cyber-resilient foundation based on a specialized backup device. In addition, they looked at CyberSense, an AI-based machine learning analytics for checking data integrity to ensure sustainability.

Given the increased relevance of the issue related to ensuring effective protection of personal data, holding this type of events will allow companies operating in various sectors of the economy to lay the foundation for security and reliably protect their business in the future.
