Modern laboratory for students: MUK donated Juniper network equipment to SUICT

The MUK group of companies together with Juniper Networks transferred laboratory equipment to the State University of Information and Communication Technologies

The project aims to provide students with an opportunity to study network technologies using Juniper Networks equipment and gain skills in building wired and wireless networks using Mist Cloud services and Marvis AI. Further steps of cooperation will include creating a separate discipline based on Juniper equipment at the Department of Artificial Intelligence of the State University of Information Technologies and Communications (https://duikt.edu.ua).

The equipment was donated to a charity and will be used to train university students. This set of equipment will demonstrate the construction and operation of a fully functional wired and wireless network that will simulate a small office.

In particular, the material and technical base of the University was replenished with such devices as:

  • • Juniper EX2300-24P network switch with routing support, which is ideal for building both switched and routed networks in small branch offices and medium-sized networks. The switch supports Juniper's unique VirtualChassis technology, allowing up to four switches to be aggregated and managed as a single device.
  • • Juniper SRX340-SYS-JB router, which has 3-in-1 functionality—routing, switching and Next Generation Firewall—ensures the security of the network infrastructure and corporate and remote networks. Juniper SRX340 provides reliability, ease of management and protection of traffic transmission by utilizing NGFW functionality.
  • • Two Juniper Mist AP43-WW access points, compatible with the unique, innovative cloud platform based on artificial intelligence Marvis AI, which can provide high-quality connectivity, as well as assistance in detecting and troubleshooting potential network problems.
