Dell EMC introduces new line of Powerswitch n2200-on access switches with multi-gigabit ports and poe802.3bt for today's heavy duty and performance requirements
New PoE (802.3bt Type-3) capabilities delivering up to 60W per port will allow customers to run more devices, including security cameras, IoT sensors and mechanisms for building automation, lighting, phone systems, billboards, and even thin clients. And 1/2.5Gbps ports let you unleash the new standards of wireless access point connectivity. For example, one Wi-Fi access point in conjunction with such a switch will allow you to “squeeze” up to 2.5 Gb / s from a wired connection. The concept of Open Networking provides reliable connectivity and flexibility in choosing operating systems, each with unique advantages (OS6, Cumulus, Pica8) that can be delivered on a single channel with a single support line.
These switches are based on the x86 Broadcom Hurricane 3 MG platform for high performance issues solving. 160 Gb/s stacking is supported for up to 12 devices per stack. This is achieved through the use of dedicated QSFP+ ports, which allows the use of standard cables at the discretion of the customer's discretion. 25Gbps uplinks will provide full throughput for all connected devices.
