Lenovo announced new ThinkSystem V3 servers with new 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors
The company introduced new ThinkSystem V3 servers based on new 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors and new Intel Xeon CPU Max Series processors. The new servers include ThinkSystem SR650 V3, SR630 V3, SR850 V3, SR860 V3, SD650 V3 Neptune DWC and SD650-I V3 Neptune DWC. Below we will briefly talk about the features of each model.
The ThinkSystem SR650 V3, with dual 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors is designed for increased performance. The model has a 2U form factor, a large number of GPUs, an abundance of TruDDR5 memory or Intel Optane™ persistent memory for speed, and increased I/O lanes for optimized data transfer rates. The SR650 V3 is ideal for complex workloads like AI, HPC, cloud service computing, virtualization and IT infrastructure.
The ThinkSystem SR630 V3 is a powerful, dual processor, 1U rack server for maximized performance. It operates versatile workloads while providing easy management. With 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, 32 DIMMs of the latest TruDDR5 memory, PCIe Gen5 technology, 16 EDSFF drives thru direct NVMe, and Intel Optane PMem 300 series, it offers the speed and density desired by cloud service providers and enterprises.
The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR860 V3 is a 4-socket server that features a 4U rack design with support for high-performance GPUs. The server offers technology advances, including fourth-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with Intel Optane Persistent Memory 300 Series, and scale-up capacity with up to 16TB of system memory, up to 18x PCIe slots, and up to 48x 2.5-inch drive bays. The SR860 V3 is ideal for mission-critical workloads such as SAP HANA in-memory computing, transactional databases, deep learning, analytics, big data and virtual machine density.
The ThinkSystem SR850 V3 is a 4-socket server that is densely packed into a 2U rack design. The server offers technology advances, including fourth-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with Intel Optane Persistent Memory 300 Series and scale-up capacity with up to 16TB of system memory, up to 12x PCIe slots, and up to 24x 2.5-inch drive bays. The SR850 V3 is ideal for mission-critical scaling up from 2-socket systems such as enterprise virtualization, CRM, ERP, SQL databases, VDI and small-mid sized SAP HANA computing environments.
The ThinkSystem SD650-I V3 Neptune DWC node is the next-generation high-performance server based on the fifth-generation Lenovo Neptune™ direct water cooling platform. The server maximizes compute power by integrating new technologies from Intel such as 4th Gen Intel Xeon processors or Intel Xeon CPU Max Series processors, as well as Intel Data Center GPU Max Series accelerators.
The direct water-cooled solution is designed to operate by using warm water, up to 45°C (113°F) depending on the configuration. This results in extreme performance in an extreme dense packaging, supporting your application from Exascale to Everyscale™.
The ThinkSystem SD650 V3 Neptune Direct Water Cooled (DWC) node is the next-generation high-performance server based on the fifth-generation Lenovo Neptune™ direct water cooling platform. With two 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors or two Intel Max Series processors, the SD650 V3 server delivers extreme performance in an extreme dense packaging, supporting your application from Exascale to Everyscale™. The direct water-cooled solution is designed to operate by using warm water up to 45°C (113°F).
In addition, it is worth noting Lenovo servers, which will also be released in 2023. it is an 8U 8-socket server for the ultimate in scale-up capability and performance. According to the manufacturer, the server will support eight 350W processors, each with 60 cores, and up to a massive 32TB of DDR5 system memory.
A new enterprise tower server with two Intel Xeon Scalable processors, ThinkSystem ST650 V3, is suitable for small businesses and large enterprises alike: companies that need industry-leading reliability, management, and security, as well as maximizing performance and flexibility for future growth.
