Chief Accountant

Requirements:

• Higher education (accounting/auditing/finance/economics);
• 5+ years of experience as a chief accountant or deputy;
• Language skills: Russian – fluent;
• Experience in accounting for a group of companies/several legal entities;
• Practical experience in foreign trade (import, export), working with non-residents;
• Experience applying the Double Taxation Treaty (DTT) and understanding MLI rules;
• In-depth knowledge of tax legislation and its application;
• Experience in tax audits and interaction with tax authorities;
• Knowledge of IFRS and MLI rules – an advantage;
• Certificates (professional accountant, tax consultant, auditor, CIMA, CPA, ACCA, and others) – an advantage;
• Proficiency in 1C and Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Organization and oversight of accounting and tax reporting across all areas;
• Ensuring the timely closing of reporting periods (month, quarter, year);
• Preparation and submission of tax, statistical, and financial reports;
• Interaction with tax authorities, audit support, preparation of responses and justifications;
• Consulting businesses on accounting and tax matters, tax risk assessment;
• Participation in the structuring and coordination of transactions in terms of tax and accounting consequences;
• Monitoring foreign trade transactions, currency control, and settlements with non-residents; • Interaction with banks, auditors, and counterparties;
• Analysis and application of double taxation agreements and MLI rules when working with non-residents;
• Assessment of the tax consequences of international transactions (including foreign trade, services, loans);
• Monitoring the correct taxation of transactions with non-residents (WHT, VAT, transfer pricing, if necessary);
• Management of the accounting department, training and development of employees.
