Palo Alto Networks complements its NGFW line of next-generation PA-3400 and PA-5400 machine-learning firewalls to provide unprecedented protection for data centers, campuses, branches and businesses
The new firewalls are designed specifically to decrypt, leverage artificial intelligence, and machine learning to analyze vast amounts of threat data, block complex attacks, and stop zero-day attacks. The PA-3400 and PA-5400, which complement the fourth-generation NGFW Palo Alto Networks, provide three times faster protection in a smaller case, ensure Zero Trust security, and offer businesses a number of benefits.
The PA-3400 and PA-5400 use NebulaS, the industry-leading software in PAN-OS 10.2, to stop more effectively even the most advanced phishing programs and DNS attacks. Three times higher security performance and seven times higher speed of content testing per core are achieved due to a more efficient and faster architecture that uses modern multi-core processors (up to 38 high-performance cores). Triple the performance of decryption in the built-in hardware of cryptography prevents the concealment of threats in encrypted traffic. Reducing the use of rack space by up to 50% reduces the area of the data center, and the increased energy efficiency of new solutions will make the data center more environmentally friendly.
The PA-3400 series is implemented in 1U form factor and is designed to protect the company's and the campus's perimeter. The PA-5400 has a 2U form factor and is ideal for protecting data centers and large campuses. Threat protection bandwidth for new models is from 5.9 to 12.7 Gbps and from 23.5 to 40.9 Gbps, respectively. Both models support connections with 10G, 25G, 40G, and 100G interfaces.
